Lecture/Trunk Show
For guilds, shops and groups
I offer two presentations:
A Lesson in Every Quilt
This is a one-hour lecture where I show over 40 of my quilts and describe the lessons learned in making each quilt. Over half the quilts were made using the Quilt-As-You-Go method, but I also show other quilts and techniques I’ve tried over the years. I will also show the ugliest quilt I’ve ever made and tell you about the lessons I learned!
Seminole Patchwork
This is a one-hour lecture on the history of the Seminole Indians and their vibrant patchwork technique. Explore their method for using strips of fabric to create intricate designs. I will show some of my Seminole quilts as well as those my students have made.
I am happy to answer questions during and after the presentation.
Lecture/Trunk Show
- 1 hour plus Q&A: $250
- Zoom fee for over 100 participants: $50
Live Virtual Lecture
I will give my lecture via Zoom using a PowerPoint presntation with professional photographs of each quilt showing the front, back and a detailed close-up.
I can host the meeting on my Zoom account or the guild’s. If you anticipate more than 100 participants, I can upgrade my Zoom account to 500 participants for $50.
In-Person Lecture
If I can drive to your location, I will bring all of my quilts. If I fly, I will bring a smaller selection of quilts and show the rest via my PowerPoint presentation. The guild will need to provide a projector and screen.
